Play - A Thousand Clowns by Herb Gardner In this comedy-drama, free spirited Murray Burns, unemployed since quitting as a writer for the Chuckles the Chipmunk show, must find a means of support for his young nephew, Nick. Sandra and Albert, social workers, visit Murray and threaten to take Nick away. Albert adheres strictly to the rules. Sandra becomes charmed by Murray, falling in love. Murray begrudgingly looks for a job --- but can he truly commit to a more conventional life?
