About the event
- Jonathan Bass, Washington Island’s beloved native son, will once again grace the TPAC stage on the grand piano. Joined by fellow musicians Gabe Roethle on violin and Sophia Eckdale-Dudley on cello, the group will be performing a piano trio by Reena Esmail. Esmail, at 40 years old and the daughter of Indian immigrants, is widely regarded as one of the finest up-and-coming composers. The trio will also perform Shostakovich’s trio no. 1 in C minor, Op.8. Bass has drawn inspiration from his island origins and incorporates it into his music, creating a unique style that delights audiences everywhere.
