About the event
Jodie DeSalvo and Colin Welford will present “Dueling Pianos” performing works from the opera Carmen, as well as compositions by Gershwin, Joplin, Berlin and selections from Broadway musicals.
Colin Welford has a musical résumé a mile long that you should read on Wikipedia. A Masters degree in music from Oxford, numerous other music degrees, Music supervisor for the Lion King and 11 subsequent international productions, Music Director for Wicked in Chicago, and on and on.
Jodie DeSalvo has been on the faculty of the Birch Creek Music Performance Center in Egg Harbor for the last 29 years and has performed numerous times on the Island with Jonathan Bass. The performance will be played on the Omega Double Keyboard built by the Island’s own Peter Nehlsen!
